Practical Nursing
Canadian nurses are divided into RNs and PNs. The nursing license that international students can earn after graduating from nursing school is a PN, which means that they will assist an RN with nursing duties. The difference between RNs and PNs is that PNs cannot give IVs and do not have the authority to prescribe medications to patients at will. After graduating from the PN program, you can also transfer to the RN program and subsequently earn your RN license. PNs are eligible to apply for immigration after studying abroad.
